The farmholidays "Le Piane" is a typical Tuscan stone-made rural building. It dates back to the XVIII century, but some extension works were done after. It is situated on a hill, in the middle of the cultural and artistic Val d'Orcia park.You can stroll along the ancient paths and pick mushrooms, raspberries and asparagus. The view covers the whole valley, from the top of the mount Amiata to Castelnuovo dell' Abate with its wonderful "Velona" castle, to the river Orcia (natural oasis). Then you can easily get - just in few minutes by car - to Saint Antimo abbey ,Montalcino ( famous for its excellent wine "Brunello"), Bagno Vignoni with its thermal swimming pool, to the Mount Amiata ( faunistic park) and Pienza. Spas, natural oasises, parks, folklore, traditional festivals have been part of our life for centuries.
